Further information(s) : Technical climb on vertical walls and slabs. Limestone rock. Mainly 6th and 7th grades. Pleasant during spring and fall, on summer morning as well if the weather isn't too hot.
Approach:
Park your car on the side of the road between Balme and Arâches, before l'Arberroz, just after a hairpin bend where there's a security barrier on the outside (first hairpin bend to the left when going uphill after driving under the big crag of Balme). Just above the bend, walk into the forest. To reach Balmette : Follow an almost horizontal track, the crag is near. To reach Superbalmette : After a short horizontal section, take the track which goes up on the left. Fixed rope just before the crag (there’s one route just before this).
