Informations :

Less than 10 routes, from 6c to 8c.   Bolting : sport climbing
Max Height : 15 m.
Rock : granite.    Characteristic(s) : overhang Surplomb, steep wall Dévers.    Type(s) of holds : tafonis, cracks, slopers.
Further information(s) : Seriously overhanging or even on roofs, the routes at Mescaline have the advantage of being on excellent rock. Gestures are very varied and always athletic, sometimes spiced up with a few very
tricky bouldering moves. A great advantage; the cave is in the shade all day long and therefore climbable all summer long!

Approach: From the col to the north of the Castellu d’Ornucciu (15 min from the car park), continue for around 150m. During the descent, a granite boulder which causes a step of around 80cm blocks the path and can be avoided to the left. At the foot of the step, follow the very faint path on the right. Follow the cairns to the crag. The maquis on the first 30m of this path was deliberately not fully cleared so that those heading back from the Vacca canyon don’t follow it by accident.
