The Punta d’Arghjavara (spot height 688 on the IGN map) is at the gateway to the famous Purcaraccia ravine. Its bolted routes make it the perfect crag for you to familiarise yourself with multipitch routes, or for quiet climbing sessions on sunny winter days in the magnificent setting of the lower Bavella massif. In the summer, the crag passes into the shade at 4pm. Easily enough time to squeeze in a last route. On your way back, a dip in the pools of the Purcaraccia makes for a very pleasant way to round off a day of fun and perhaps of exertion.
Approach: Follow the well-made path which begins at the bend. It soon reaches a concrete pipe and runs alongside the river. Go past a large boulder (8 min). 50m after the boulder, follow the path which ascends steeply to the left up rocky terrain. After 7- 8 minutes you will reach the face.
