Further information(s) : One of the oldest crags of the Haute-Savoie, consequently the classic routes are polished, especially the starts. The place is quiet in the forest (sun in the afternoon through the trees). The climbing is mostly on a nice limestone but many routes have boulder problems. Varied climbing on steep slabs, sometimes overhanging, often athletic. The crag dries very fast and it's even possible to climb with slight rain without wind. Not too dangerous for children.
Park your car at the side of the road, on a bend between Arâches and Balme (sign «La Mortenaz»). To get to the crag, follow a track which goes uphill along a field then through the forest.
