Further information(s) : The magnificent, ultracompact orangey wall of the north face dominates the south bank of the Pulischellu, and in its centre, a perfect crack: la Baraka.
Much less selective, the south-east face provides a handful of very nice routes with progressive grades on superb granite. Another advantage of the crag is its central and elevated position at the heart of the massif, which turns it into a perfect viewpoint. Don’t forget your binoculars to watch
the progress of climbing teams on the Dos de l’éléphant, Jeef, Abbastanza, Les fils de la Puta Rossa… to mention only the best-known multi-pitch routes.
Localisation approximative.
Approach: From the western extremity of the large car park at Pulischellu (start of the car park when arriving from the Bavella col), follow the well-worn path on the other side of the road. After 12 minutes, the path passes along a ledge above the river (2 ropes handrails in the summer season). At the end of the handrails, do not descend towards the river but continue traversing for around 200m to a gully/scree slope. Ascend this gully on the left to a little col. Gain the base of the crag by making a detour out to the left.
