Une chouette Hulotte (espèce protégée) niche actuellement dans la voie du dièdre (voie 21 "Born rue Proudhon"). Un arrêté municipal en accord avec les différents partenaires (Mairie de Curis au Mont d'Or, LPO, FFME) a été pris le 31 mars 2017. Cet arrêté municipal interdit la grimpe sur la partie Est du Site (de la voie 16 à 24) jusqu'à fin juin 2017 (fin de la nidification).
