Rock : limestone.    Characteristic(s) : dihedral Dièdre, steep wall Dévers, vertical Vertical, slab Dalle.    Type(s) of holds : side pulls, underclings, jugs, crimps, water erosion pockets, cracks, slopers.

Slave labour for nice E1 climbing.
Further information(s) : Ballyryan is ideal for beginners and larger groups. Top ropes can be set up (with trad gear eg. nuts, hexes, slings etc.) as there is a walk around on the left side of the crag.
The Burren is an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Only bouldering and trad climbing.
No bolts or bolting allowed.
